Effective immediately, OMG bridge is out of commission!

Our amazing volunteers are in the process of dismantling OMG bridge in order to make necessary repairs. If you are out hiking this week, be sure to use extra caution and avoid the OMG hill/bridge area.

And if you happen to have some spare time this coming Saturday, September 21... said amazing volunteers would love some extra help with rebuilding the bridge!

Work starts at 8am - bring your own gloves and a lunch!

Earlier this season we were able to secure funding to help us purchase an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) unit to have at Birch Brook Chalet in case of an emergency.

To ensure that our AED can be put to good use if ever needed, we will be offering an AED familiarization course on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at 1:00pm at Birch Brook Chalet.

Please note that this is a familiarization only - you will not receive any sort of official AED certification. We simply want to give our members an opportunity to learn about our AED so that you feel prepared to use it should you ever find yourself in a situation where you need to!

To help us better prepare for this session, if you are planning to attend please register on Zone4 here:

We hope to see you there!

Now that all (or most!) of our snow has finally melted, our parking lots and grounds are in need of a spring clean up!

We will meet at Birch Brook at 3:00pm this coming Sunday. We'll provide the garbage bags, but please bring your own work gloves.

Want to make a day of it? Come down early (or stay late!) to get in a hike on our beautiful trails!

It looks like Mother Nature doesn't want our ski and snowshoe season to end just yet!

Conditions are staying crisp and cool this week, so we will be open today (Wednesday), tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday from 1pm - 4pm.

Come on out and enjoy some late Spring skiing or snowshoeing on our beautiful trails!

It looks like we are in for some cool temperatures tonight and tomorrow! As such, we will be opening tomorrow (Tuesday, April 23) from 1-4pm. Our groomer will be out, and will get the Games, Gosling View, Lynx, and Chaulks Run trails groomed!

As an extra incentive, trail passes will be half price. If you've got (or can get) the afternoon off, now's your chance to sneak in one more ski or snowshoe for the season!

Again - this is for tomorrow (Tuesday, April 23) ONLY! An update will be posted here if conditions and volunteer availability support any other last minute openings!

Spring Ski Season is finally here!! The days are longer, the temperatures are warmer and the glide goes for days!

Why not take advantage of the beautiful conditions and join us in the backcountry this weekend for a BBQ at McLean Lake cabin sponsored by our good friends at Minipi Outfitters?!

Ski the 6km route out to McLean Lake on our beautiful trails and enjoy the stunning views along the way. Don't worry if you've never ventured into the backcountry before - you're sure to have lots of company along the way!

Not a skier? No problem! Our snowshoe rep Lorna Clark will lead a group snowshoe out to McLean Lake, leaving from the Chalet at 12 noon!

We will also have our Apres Ski bar open at Birch Brook Chalet later in the afternoon as skiers and snowshoers make their way back from McLean Lake!

Labrador Winter Games week is here!!

We will be hosting 4 events at Birch Brook over the course of this week, and unfortunately that means we will be closed to members and visitors from Wednesday, March 20 through Saturday, March 23. We will reopen for regular business on Sunday, March 24.

If you are not already volunteering at Birch Brook during Games week, why not come out and be a spectator?! Birch Brook will play host to a lot of very talented athletes and dedicated volunteers this week, and they all deserve to have cheering fans on the sidelines!
