Parking at Birch Brook
Posted 30 January 2021, 9:16 am NST
As we're sure you've all noticed by now, Sunday afternoons at Birch Brook are quite busy, especially from 1 pm - 3:30 pm when our Jackrabbit program is in full swing. We're definitely not complaining (we LOVE seeing you all!)
but we are trying to optimize parking so that everyone can get to and from their ski or snowshoe safely and with as little headache as possible!
We have three separate parking lots at Birch Brook, which have a capacity as follows:
Upper Lot maximum 6 vehicles
Middle Lot maximum 12 vehicles
Lower Lot maximum 27 vehicles
While you may feel that there is room in the Upper Parking Lot for more than 6 vehicles, please know that we MUST leave room to allow people to drop off and turn around, as well as to allow emergency vehicle access if necessary. Please DO NOT park in the Upper Lot if there are already 6 vehicles there, regardless of how much space appears to be available.
Between all three parking lots, we have room for 45 vehicles provided everyone parks responsibly. North West River Road is a very busy road, and we appreciate your cooperation and attention to parking so that everyone can find a safe parking spot.
